How I see what you do

Half of the series is shot by me pointing the camera towards a body part. The other half is shot by my friend, Suz, of me taking the said body photos. By including Suz’s perspective (aka my framing and staging, her shutter release), there is more information to the story. Where one frame only sees my foot, the next sees a massive Henry Cowell Redwood tree. Where one frame only sees my hand, the next sees the LA skyline from the Getty Museum. 

 

Through the use of film in general, the viewer is reminded that film comes in one long strip, as life does, and therefore is meant to tell a chronological story.
