From This Moment

"I was inspired by their silent thoughts, fears, and wishes for the future"

In my friends and myself, I have found a constant anxiety of the future, because everyday we notice new reminders that our youth is fleeting. I often fixate on their expressions, interactions, and movements through the lens of my point-and-shoot 35 mm film camera, but through this project, I was inspired by their silent thoughts, fears, and wishes.

By cropping photographs and situating them to make one complete image, I form an alternate scene-- the one that plays within my mind and removes me from the current moment. Much like my "Interior Exterior" series, I layer two worlds. In "From Another Moment," I layer the physical and mental perception of my subjects.
